StrivTV featured PCS vs. Dundy County-Stratton past Friday as their "Channel Seed Game of the Week." Before the game, I had a chance to walk through the building with StrivTV announcers Eric Allgood and Tony Chapman. Listening them talk about the Perkins County history gave me goosebumps and reminded me of the days when I walked these halls as a student athlete and what it meant to be a Plainsman. Tony commented that when he was in school (roughly the same time as me) that everyone wanted to be Perkins County! Power house teams, no matter what sport, no matter what gender. It was clear that when we walked onto the field or the court, we had arrived, and everyone knew it. Listening to the chatter in the stands and watching the other team size us up as we warmed up, knowing that we went business. Our business was to win, and win big!

It makes me feel that sense of pride again to see our students, athletes, speakers, actors, etc. start to feel what it means to be Plainsmen. To feel that sense of pride, to walk a little taller, to have the confidence that it takes to be a winner.

Great job to all of our PCS student body! We are very proud of you.
