Lifetime Sports:
It’s a beautiful morning for Mr. Geier’s students to play pickleball at the park! #plainsmenpride

At the end of a busy day at school, there’s something therapeutic about sitting in the grass and visiting with your friends while stretching for XC practice. #plainsmenpride

Resource Management:
Today’s tasks in Mr. Burge’s course include classifying common types of grasses, forbes, shrubs and trees found in Nebraska’s ecosystems. This goes hand-in-hand with #FFA students’ Range Judging competitions.

It’s #ThrowbackThursday…all the way back 60 years in time to the fall of 1964 at Elsie High School (Elsie, NE). Much like now at PCS, the Bulldogs were preparing for their first volleyball and football games of the season.

There are a # of things we can count on…like Mr. Larry Pritchett sending flowers to all of the school secretaries to kick off the school year. Laurie Summers, Elementary Secretary, will retire after this school year — and is enjoying her last “1st week of school” delivery.

We can’t thank Dr. Demmel enough for her continued support of students at PCS! Today she dropped dozens of her famous chocolate chip cookies for our HS fall athletes and activity participants. Thank you!

PCS students taking Spanish (a section of Spanish 1 is shown here) are learning via a distance learning opportunity. Ms. Emily Glause works as a part of @PCS_Pride faculty to provide foreign language classes for over a dozen schools in the region. #RuralSolutions #plainsmenpride

Elementary P.E.:
For an added degree of difficulty, Mr. Hite added obstacles to the climbing wall for students to work around.

PCS School Board Member, Jayson Bishop, received his Level 7 Award of Achievement from the Nebraska Association of School Boards at today’s area membership meeting held at NP High School. Mr. Bishop has served on the PCS Board of Education for 16 years. #plainsmenpride

3rd Grade Reading:
Mrs. Richmond’s students reviewed words by playing “Boom, Clap, Snatch.” Students tried to be the first one to snatch the correct word card when Mrs. Richmond used the term.

We’re familiar with “circling the wagons,” but “circling the pianos” is something new at PCS. This year HS student have the opportunity to take a Music Theory class offered by Mrs. Lehl. This semester there are 10 students enrolled in the course.
