Myles Bishop qualified for Finals in Class C2 Extemporaneous Speaking.

Students spent 2 days on an activity with M&M’s. Day 1 included sorting/counting their own M&M’s, writing the percent, decimal, & fraction form of each color, and making a bar graph. Day 2 included finding the mean, median, mode, & range of each color of the entire class’s data.
Second graders learned about bees in an insect unit. Tom and Janet Kraus brought live bees to show the class. Students had the opportunity to taste test some honey.

5th Grade Reading CKLA:
Mrs. McCord's and Mrs. Gloy's students channeled their inner Leonardo da Vinci as they wrapped up their unit on the Renaissance. They explored influential artists, their styles, some of the most famous works of the time, and the impact of this time period. To bring their learning to life, students completed a color-by-number of the Mona Lisa. This combined creativity with content a fun, hands-on way. It was great to see their focus and excitement as their masterpieces came together!

4th Grade ELA:
To wrap up their CKLA reading unit on the American Revolution, 4th graders got to sign the Declaration of Independence with a quill and ink.
Congrats to Mr. Doug Babbitt for being honored during today’s #FFA Session 3. Mr. Babbitt participated during Opening Ceremonies and received special recognition for retiring after 18 years as an FFA Advisor.
