⭐️ New T&F Record
PCS/Grant - 8th Grade Girls
4x100m Relay: 55.65
The 8th grade girls 4x100 Relay team (Nikita Prosser, Rowan Lee, Emelyn Bishop and Alexa Salinas) finished the regular season on a high note and bettered their record, again (previous was 56.09). Well done!

⭐️ New T&F Record - Craton Buller
PCS/Grant - 7th Grade Boys
800M: 2:17.52
Craton Buller set a new 7th Grade Boys 800M record at today’s JH SPVA Meet. The previous record was set by Tim Colglazier (2:19.62) in 1993. Great job!

With a number of PCS T&F Records already broken this season (Girls LJ, 1600M and 3200M), it’s worth mentioning that these are records as of the GHS/WHS co-op (spring 2005) and eventual school consolidation for the 2006 T&F season.
Prior WHS and GHS/PCHS records were retired.
Here’s a look back at those retired records and the PCS records prior to the 2026 T&F season.

The Preschool students visited Grant's Hastings Memorial Library to learn about the summer reading program, how to get a library card, and ended with a great story time by Miss Val to practice early literacy skills. We're grateful for these community connections!

⭐️ SCHOOL RECORD
Madison Potts
Girls 1600M: 5:36.38
Madison's time edged out the previous school record (5:36.61) set by Ashley Kemling in 2011.

Happy National School Nurse Day (May 6, 2026) to Tonya Mosel.

Students in grades K-6 had a chance to visit Grant's Hastings Memorial Library and learn about what it has to offer -- including the upcoming summer reading program.

PCS 3rd Graders took a field trip to the Overland Trails Museum in Sterling, CO. They had an exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution called the "Americans Tour." Students also played some Native American games and made miniature tipis.

The anatomy class thoroughly enjoyed learning about the various vessels and heart chambers while dissecting porcine hearts donated by Grant Packing. (The specimens also came with lungs, which was a great visual of how the lungs and heart are closely connected and work together!)

Mrs. Mosel's CNA class, through MPCC, finished on March 18th. Everyone passed their State Exams and are now enjoying learning the various jobs at PC Health Services departments including the specialty clinic, OR, radiology, lab, PT, cardiac rehab, hospital nursing, and Grant Medical Clinic.
Congrats to the PC students who earned their CNA licenses including Haley, Mason, Hannah, Ethan, Ella and Ava!

PCS is exploring the possibility of adding *afternoon bus routes* for our rural families. Please note that these routes are not yet finalized; we are in the research and planning phase to determine if we can secure enough staffing to make this service a reality.

Physical Science (9th Grade): How does the temperature of water affect the saturation point of a solvent? In this particular demo, freshman found that the hot water was able to hold 15x as much salt as the cold water. (Kudos to Paisley and Lila who had the closest pre-lab predictions!)
