"Mystery Reader" Fridays:
Kindergarten students do not know who the mystery reader is until they come to class. The reader is always a family member or a friend of one of the students. Thank you to Christine for being today's reader! #stakeholdersupport #communityconnections

Physical Science:
Students have been studying the history of the periodic table and its trends. Today's lab had students piece together a table of trendy people. Patterns and trends mimicked properties of elements. Like good scientists, they shared research to solve the puzzle.

These students are taking a new-to-PCS class offered by Mr. Burge through our Ag Dept: Food Science & Safety. There were three articles that appeared in the recent edition of the local paper related to food science and safety, so today they are reading and discussing the news.

🚨 Update: Jan. 12, 2024

Both the @PCS_Pride GBB and BBB have earned #3 seeds in the SPVA Basketball Tournament. Each will host home games for Round #1 of the Tourney.

Elementary HAL:
Students combined Chemistry + Art in today's Painting With pH activity. Students painted with solutions of baking soda + water (basic). Then they brushed a solution of hand sanitizer + turmeric (acidic) over the papers to reveal the paintings. #highabilitylearners

Mrs. Hutcheson is looking for adult volunteers to listen to Kindergarten students read and practice their counting. If you are interested in helping, please contact Mrs. Hutcheson. #stakeholderinvolvement #communityconnections

Now that's "Pudding it to the man!"
Students had their name drawn for a chance to cream Mr. Reisig with pudding as a way to celebrate over 40% of our K-2 students participating in the Book-It reading challenge.

This is the original “Study Hall.” Briana and Bella are working on their vocabulary terms booklet. Weekly vocab is a part of our high school English curriculum. Expanding students’ vocab helps with both reading fluency and comprehension.
