6th Grade Science:
Students have been learning about types of energy including potential energy and kinetic energy. Mrs. McCord’s students are designing and building their own rollercoasters. Students will be able to explain how these relate to energy transfers. #STEMeducation
The Perkins Co. BBB team has earned the #2 seed in the C2-11 Subdistrict to take place next week in Amherst. 🏀 #plainsmenpride
Our #FFA applied for & received the NIFA Governor’s Ag Excellence Award to purchase a veterinary ultrasound monitor and probes. Students used it today in Vet Science class to detect pregnancy in goats. They also did a blood draw to send to a lab to confirm the pregnancy. #CTE
4th Grade Math:
Students are working on decomposing fractions. They use fraction tiles to show different ways to break apart a fraction. Then, Miss Snogren shows their example on Amplify’s “Polypad” on the ClearTouch smart board.
