A shorter drive for all seemed the smartest course with winter weather headed our way.
K-6 Elementary Science teachers spent the afternoon of today's PD time reviewing a potential, new science line to purchase and use during the 2025-26 school year. Here they are sitting in on a remote conference call with a company rep.
There’s still time to register for the May 2026 trip to Washington D.C. This WorldStrides opportunity is organized by Mrs. Hire and is for current 6th-8th Grade PCS students.

It’s #ThrowbackThursday. Some things never change…like STUCO sponsoring a Sweetheart Dance. PCS will host theirs on Saturday. Back in 1985, Wheatland’s STUCO hosted the dance and crowned Dennis Miyamoto King and Dori Heil the Queen.

JH HAL: Perkins Co. Senior Center
Students learned all about the services, activities and opportunities available at the Senior Center in Grant. As a non-profit, much of the Center’s funding is thanks to the Thrift Shoppe. Students helped sort, organize and label items.
From Superintendent Jolliffe:
"The junior high and high school will have a late start tomorrow, Feb. 13th, due to dangerous windchills and added time for travel. Inter-High at NP is cancelled. Elem. Parent-Teacher Conf. remain on schedule. No school Friday & Monday (Staff PD)."
6th Grade ELA:
Students are meeting deadlines in an effort to create their own class book. Each student is writing and illustrating a story about a monster. The goal is for students to be able to purchase their own published book.
