Sophomore FFA members, Olivia Gengenbach and Morgan Day, spent the day at Peaceful Prairie Nursery in Mitchell, NE. In return for their work helping the nursery staff start new plants, Olivia and Morgan walked away with succulent cuttings to start new houseplants. The girls will tend and sell these for their SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience) project. #plainsmenpride #CTE #IBelieveInTheFutureOfAgriculture

Mr. Stephenson’s, students learned about the history of the camera and how it works. Students created their own camera obscuras using cardboard and a small magnifying glass to project an image from the outside world into their “personal dark rooms.”
6th Grade English Language Arts:
When the weather is nice, writing outside is a must! The 6th grade ELA students are working on their first writing assignment of the year. It is a personal narrative that includes a topic sentence, details and a concluding sentence.
5th & 6th Grade Math:
Ms. Sanders' students choose a one-word goal for the upcoming year. Many chose math or school related goals. On the inside of the cards, students explained why they chose that goal and a way to work towards it.
