It’s #ThrowbackThursday…all the way back to 1937. While some things at PCHS have definitely changed (models of vehicles) it appears that some things never change — in this case students having reserved parking spots at school, although in 2025 it’s more like “unofficial spots.”
Juniors spent the morning touring N. Platte’s MPCC campus. This afternoon they attended a college fair in Ogallala. Trips like these are a part of our intentional effort to get PCS students on the campuses of community, trade, small-college and university campuses prior to HS graduation.

🚨🏈 JV FB Schedule Change
(9/15/25)
The PCS JV FB Team will not play at NPSP on Sept. 15, 2025, as previously scheduled. Instead, our JV team will play Sandhills Valley in Tryon, NE. Game time will be 4:00 p.m. MT.
Physical Science (9th Grade):
Students are using various tools (measuring tape, stopwatch, electric balance) to conduct a lab and calculate the velocity and momentum of rolling objects.

Mrs. Reimers' students are learning how to use the “CUBES” strategy to solve word problems. This strategy helps them pick out the important information and use clue words to know how to solve the problem.

Spanish 2:
Mrs. Emily Glause is an employee of PCS and offers distance learning Spanish for our students as well as other schools in the region (who provide financial compensation to PCS). Our 5th pd. Spanish 2 studenfs, shown here, have class at the same time as Wauneta-Palisade.
Although screens separate teacher and students, Mrs. Glause is still able to interact and call on, visit with, and see students’ work in real time by using online tools, speakers and web cameras. As a result, this feels much like a “regular class.
An adult proctor supervises the classroom while Mrs. Glause is teaching to assist with the tech side and on-site student assistance.

Internship Spotlight:
Miguel Castillo interns at Noyes Quality Homes in Grant. Miguel has helped organize shop shelves, unload parts shipments, stock parts, paint and clean up outdoor inventory areas. Following graduation, Miguel plans to attend a program to pursue welding.
