Third graders enjoyed a day at the UNL Extension Environmental Education Festival at Enders Lake. Highlights for the day were learning about different plants native to our area, scavenger hunts, fallen log explorations, and a chance to play in the sand!

Congrats to Jentry Wallin for scoring 9th in the entire State of NE in the 2026 Microsoft Office Specialist State Championship Spring Qualifier Contest in the area of MOS Word. Jentry competed as a part of her required, semester of Tech Apps with Mrs. Ferguson. #CTE
Thanks to the fine folks at Foote Cattle Company and Imperial Beef, K-12 staff and students had the opportunity to enjoy steak sandwiches for lunch. What a treat!

3rd Grade Science:
Mrs. Cunningham's students wrapped up their weather unit by researching a different location. They presented a week-long forecast, severe weather warnings and safety tips.
Fourth graders had the opportunity to plant their Arbor Day trees at the Grant City Park with Nebraska forester, Kaden Vowers. They planted two streetspire oak trees.

5th Grade Science:
Mrs. McCord's students wrapped up their "Ecosystem Restoration" unit by creating their own food chains that included a source, producer, primary consumer, secondary consumer, tertiary consumer and decomposer. Throughout the unit, students learned how food molecules provide energy for living organisms and support growth within an ecosystem.
