Science (6th Grade):
Mrs. McCord's students explored scale by ordering objects and microorganisms from smallest to largest during their Microbiome unit. Amplify's scale tool came in handy to check their thinking and sequence the correct order.

In Japanese culture, folding 1,000 origami paper cranes is known as “senbazuru” and symbolizes good fortune, healing and longevity.
Although they were well short of the 1,000 needed, Mr. Stephenson’s students folded origami cranes as a lesson bridge between 2-D and 3-D structures.

Students in Mrs. Bishop’s class learned the names, uses, and locations of various pieces of lab equipment. They “took notes” by creating their own custom BINGO grids — then put their knowledge to the test with a few rounds of Lab Equipment BINGO.

Mr. Burge's Intro to Ag students helped our kitchen staff by shucking the ears. The fresh corn will be offered to K-12 staff and students during Wednesday's lunch.

Calculus:
Mrs. Lee challenged her math classes with a series of colored cup puzzles that required teamwork and critical thinking. (Psst...did you know that PCS offers in-house College Algebra, Calculus, and Trigonometry? Mrs. Lee teaches these classes through MPCC.)
Kindergarten Media Skils:
Students had a great time learning their way around the Elementary Library while participating in a library scavenger hunt! Our Elementary Librarian and Media Specialist is Mrs. Erica Turner.
